She is an aspiring filmmaker with interests in DP-ing, editing, and directing. While she’s based in Minneapolis, she’s had the chance to study film in Los Angeles for a semester. That experience prompted her to write and direct her first short film. She has had the chance to screen her films at local film festivals. Although the film industry can be scary and unpredictable, Alyssa is reminded of the words of Ben Enke, a fellow Minneapolis cinematographer, "Pain is temporary. Film is forever.” Her mindset is, “keep making things, and never stop no matter who tells you to!”
